Madness!

Being such a big Husky basketball fan, I feel I would be a little remiss if I didn't at least write one blog entry about March Madness!

What a crazy first day... so many upsets and close games! Unfortunately, I picked all the wrong ones (with the exception of UW and OD), so my bracket is already screwed... but I don't care...

Huskies 80, Marquette 78! Huskies are moving on to the next round against 3 seed New Mexico on Saturday!!

I said after the UW-Cal game in the Pac 10 tourney that it was one of the best basketball games I've ever seen, but this one was soooooo good too! Dawgs got down by 15 in the second half (Marquette was shooting and making 3s left and right) and they battled back, and Quincy scored the winning basket with 1.7 seconds left. Still, that last pass and shoot by Marquette was FRIGHTENING - if anyone could make a buzzer beater, it'd be them... but luckily it hit the backboard. I think it took like 10 minutes after the game for my legs to stop shaking!!

Congrats to the Dawgs for fighting their way back in and finishing it off, and good luck to the Zags against Florida State tonight!
