This post coming to you from the 48th floor of the Columbia Tower...
I must say, it is a bit weird to be looking DOWN at the Space Needle. Although it's so foggy today that you can barely see the ground from up here, the last few days it has been so beautiful watching the sun rise near Mt. Rainier and watching it set over Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.
It's definitely been a bit of an adjustment to start waking up at 5:30-6:30 every morning and working from 8:30-5 at a real job, but so far so good! All of the people have been really nice (there are about 35 in the office total) and (knock on wood) nothing has been too difficult so far!
I got an ORCA card, which means I get to ride buses/trains/ferries/etc for free, which is awesome. Also can't wait until I get my first paycheck! ;)
Running related - I have been so busy this week that it's a good thing I wasn't planning on running until the weekend again anyways! I did get a nice swim in on Tuesday night, which felt really good and helped stretched out my quads. It's supposed to be cold but sunny all weekend, so I'm going to try and squeeze in a run on Sunday and then figure out some way to get back into the swing of it next week.
Having a gym down in FW and no daylight after work is going to make it tough, but if I'm creative I'm sure I'll be able to figure something out - it'll be so much more convenient once I am able to move up to Seattle though!
