Getting chilly out!

Just got back from my first post-marathon run and it is a chilly 33 (feels like 26) degrees out. That, my friends, is pretty chilly for Seattle! The next few days are supposed to be somewhere between 20 and 30 degrees before it finally starts to warm up a little towards the weekend. Time to bust out the additional layers for running!

I did an easy 3 this afternoon, and only wore tights and my Seattle Marathon shirt - brrrr. It felt like being thrown face first into an ice bath! My legs were numb, but no particularly soreness or stiffness at all. Can't wait to start easing back into the mileage next week! My project for next week (besides getting an oil change and getting done with Xmas cards) is to look for a gym in Seattle that is more convenient to where I work now, reasonably priced, and has a pool!

This week has been so busy that it feels like it's been more like a month since the marathon! Sheesh. Looking forward to a nice early bedtime tonight after finally watching New Moon, and then working on Xmas cards during the Husky basketball game.

Husky football ended the season on a great note yesterday with a 42-10 whooping of #19 Cal. That was definitely the best Husky football I've ever seen (I didn't start watching it until I started school there in 2005) - they played great on both sides of the ball and everything just went their way and was fabulously executed, it was so fun to watch! If only we'd won one of those three close games we lost and gone to a bowl game.... but hopefully next year! Dear Jake - ONE MORE YEAR!!! Stay at UW, make a Heisman run and take us to a major bowl game, and THEN go to the NFL and make tons more money actually starting instead of sitting on a bench!

I think that's about it for now... hope everyone had a great weekend!
