Look out Eugene...

Yes, running a half marathon on two weeks of training is probably not the most intelligent thing I've ever done. But, I have done it before, twice (with basically no training either of those times), and I am still here! I am just going to take it easy and have a good time, and hopefully it'll help kick-start my running motivation. I am going to have to suck it up and become a morning runner fairly often, I think. But I CAN do it and I WILL do it. I don't need to baby myself anymore.

Anyways, so yes, I am going down to run the Eugene 1/2 Marathon on May 2. I've already paid for the race, and I have a running friend that wants to share the drive down and the hotel, so why not? It'll be a fun weekend away from everything if nothing else - like a little mini-vacation.

Sometimes I just wish I could hit the pause button on life and take a day or two to catch up - it just seems to keep going by faster and faster! Today is one of those rare days when I have nothing really planned after work, so hopefully I'll be able to make it a productive one, because I don't foresee having another one for a while!

I am going to make it my goal to get in at least 10 minutes of some sort of workout every day this week - getting out the door is always the hardest part so if I can at least get myself going, I should be good to go.

I am also going to start shopping around for wetsuits this week - it's been so sunny out lately and I am just dying to get into the lake and do some open water swimming!
