- I got a full scholarship for the rest of the paralegal program. There were 3 available, and I applied and got one. That saves me about $3,000 over the next 6 months!
- Grandma is out of the hospital and hopefully back to normal.
- Black Crowes concert at the Showbox last night was fun. They sounded really good live! (minus the migraine headache I started to get during the last hour or so... bad timing! Rock concerts and migraines don't mix!)
- I cannot wait until Thanksgiving! Turkey, mashed potatoes, buttery dinner rolls, fresh broccoli and carrots, pumpkin pies (oh wait, I don't like pumpkin pies... oh well!), ice cream, wine... (oh wait, marathon 3 days later... that'll be fine right?) and football! Mmmm.
- Also, Trivia Night at Mick's (although difficult and expensive - $10 for Trivia??) was fun. Delicious food (rosemary chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies) and good scotch!
- Sports tidbits:
- Tyrone Willingham is in line for a coaching job at San Jose State. Why? The WAC must really not care about football (either that or they've totally conceded to Boise State).
- Nick Holt is on the list of potential head coaches for UNLV... hope that one doesn't end up happening!
- UCLA basketball loses to Cal State Fullerton in 2 OT at home... was that just a fluke or are they really pulling a USC/Notre Dame/Michigan/Oklahoma move?
- Speaking of which... bye bye USC, ND, Michigan, and OK! Just hoping that Oregon doesn't make it to the Rose Bowl. Thank you Stanford for keeping them from any hope of an NC!
- Brady Quinn fined $10,000 for his illegal hit in the MNF game... on top of his already awful performance. Ouch.
- Apple Cup prediction - if UW doesn't win, there will be hell to pay.
