Where did spring break go??

Seriously... having Friday finals sucks, that many fewer days of spring break!

On the bright side, I am DONE with winter quarter! I passed 20 credits (with a decent GPA - might actually even RAISE my overall GPA...!!), and now only have one more quarter until GRADUATION! I'm taking 17 credits next quarter, but it shouldn't be as bad... just 3 soc classes and music theory!

My cough that I got about two weeks ago is FINALLY starting to die down - frustrating though, I had just gotten back into the swing of running/working out/eating healthy, and BAM - forced 2 1/2 weeks off. :( Back to square one, again...

I had my first day volunteering at Little Bit today! It was pretty tiring - it's about 45-50 minutes of walking plus about an hour of bussing each way, and I did two classes today, which adds up to around 90 minutes of walking around the arena and about an hour of getting horses ready. But it is so worth it - little kids and ponies galore! :)

Also still job-hunting for the summer - I have an application in at Super Jock N Jill, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that!

Not too much else aside from that... hopefully I'll be able to post next week about a good first week of spring quarter and some good running/etc!

Insanity

Sorry for no update in a while, it's been crazy with finals in a week and a half! So this will just be a quickie update...

Beautiful weather lately - very cold (it snowed a few times on Monday!) but bright and sunny.

I've been getting really well back on track lately with the running - will be back in double digits for the long run again soon, and 25+ mpw, plus swimming and hopefully incorporating bike riding when I have more time.

Race-wise, the St. Patrick's Day Dash is on Sunday, yay! I have too many finals so I won't be able to stay and get lunch/etc as the family usually does... maybe next year?

School related - I got into the paralegal program! (Which just makes it even more crucial that I pass all these classes...)

I'm looking forward to spring break - I'm going on a volunteer trip with some girls from one of my soc classes to Wilmington, NC (near Wrightsville Beach) to help build houses (well, probably just one house!) for low-income people. The group has a scholarship fund for low income people (ME!), so it ends up only being around $100 for the whole weekend. It'll look good on a resume, will hopefully be fun, and the weather over there looks pretty good (read - sunny and warm) so far!

I'm going up to Super Jock N Jill and Roadrunner Sports sometime this weekend to apply for a job... wish me luck, cuz I'd totally love working there (I hope!).

And, of course, this (although not very helpful towards focusing on finals) is awesome:
